Top Best Google Play Store Features

Google play store has recently been updated with some handy new features. These features arrive in response to developer / user feedback, and once again proves Google willingness to react to the market’s needs and wishes, which is more than I can say for Apple, who has a very my way or the highway approach.

A new feature for app developers is to have multiple sets of description, images and text to test the effectiveness of each at conversion from browser to user. They can then use this information to refine their app description and images to better reach their target audience. This should see a lot of developers with a smile on their dial. A secondary feature of the developer release is the ability to test their application on up to 20 devices on the cloud for resolution and quality of UI, they can then use this information to further develop their application to suit a wider range of devices.

The family friendly section of the Android Play Store is built specifically for families who have children using Android devices. It allows parents to limit what their children can view and download on the app store depending on the age and maturity of the child. The family friendly section features applications like minecraft, lego star wars and art and crafts apps. These application have been hand picked by google to be safe for children.

The parental control feature will allow parents to lock out explicit content, be it application, movies, books or music.

The trustworthy feature will give a kind of ‘tick of approval’ based on other users feedback. It will give users, in these days of uncertainty, a level of comfort when downloading new applications from the play store.

The final new feature is the ability to add an application to your wishlist, in the case where you may not need an application that day, but could need it in the future.
